Get to Know Aki Hirano

NOTE: I posted this design in case someone does an artwork of Aki. I'll be posting his full sheet soon, but for now, let's leave his chibi form here. 

Overview:
Haruaki Hirano is one of the future love interests from the upcoming novel, "Her Endearing Light". A cunning and clever person, he can be sometimes in a deadpanned mood, however, he is easy to talk with. He prefers to be simply called "Aki", not only because there are other students in the main setting of the novel that have their names beginning with "Haru", but because calling him with it makes him like a friend.

As a member of the Sports Association of the school, he has several duties to do unlike other associations that have established clubs. The Sports Association has several clubs to choose from, like others. He's part of the Aquatics Club, on the swimming category. The stroke he swims is still unspecified, but some claim that he does freestyle often, others say that he swims all strokes known.

He doesn't hide any secret, but he is unaware that his family has the darkest of all. Only his parents do. Other people outside the school grounds had already seen him to be very suspicious, telling his parents that he only wears a wig similar to his hair color, and that he's only an outcast to them. It will be revealed during the course of the novel.

The only secret he's unaware of is that of his position in the Hirano family, whether or not he's truly adopted.

Skills:
Haruaki is a skilled mathematician. Because of this, he can do calculations at a short period of time. If you ask him about trigonometry, the tendency is that it might take him a bit long to answer. 

Like other students at the "dream school", he's fluent in English. Japanese people don't speak or write English that often, however, if there are, then only a very small rate of the total population are able to interact with the language. Aki also needs to learn it as the next head of the family. 

Besides being a gifted swimmer, he's fast on land, being aware with his surroundings.

Trivia:
1. In Kanji, Aki's full name can be written as this.
平野 春希
The surname, Hirano, means "flat, plain, calm," whilst his name is a mix of one meaning of Haru, meaning "springtime", and Aki meaning "hope". 

2. Aki is supposed to bear the surname "Nakano" (中野) meaning "middle field". However, it was changed to Hirano because this might cause a bit of backfire, mistaking him to be the doppelganger of Haruka Nanase from Free.

3. His first role in the novel was aforementioned (and that is being Haruka's doppelganger) when he was first applied as a supporting character. It was drastically changed when he replaced a character as a love interest. Although almost all of his features are a bit similar to the existing character (Haruka) and the fact that Aki shares the same birthday with him, this has a purpose why, and it will be revealed in the novel.

4. He is still searching for his believed brother for a long period of time.

5. Aki is about 2-3 years older than the heroine Mari, since her age is between 13 and 15. 

6. Students find it strange when Aki speaks in a deadpanned tone. They are used to him having a bit high voice, and a royalty tone in it.

7. If you make him angry, chances are he'll either swear shamelessly or say brutal things to you. This makes him a person that can't be optimistic and sweet at all times.
